Forest Bathing Guide Training Program

Returning September 2022!

Location: Macskimming Outdoor Education Centre

Wild Roots Nature and Forest School is a non-profit organization that opened its doors in 2016. A few years later, our staff took a team trip to Kingston, Ontario to experience a guided Forest Bathing session with hopes of learning and implementing the practice at Wild Roots. Soon after, Forest School Practitioner, Alyssa Delle Palme, heard the call of the guide and studied to become a become a certified Forest Therapy Guide through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Programs. At Wild Roots, Alyssa has developed Forest Bathing programs for people of all ages, including a six-week Nature Babies Forest Bathing program for parents and infants.

Combining her years of experience as a Forest School Practitioner and a Forest Therapy Guide, Alyssa created the Wild Roots Nature and Forest School’s Forest Bathing Guide Training program for people who work with children and families (Farm Schools, Forest Schools, Homeschool communities, Daycare providers, Teachers, Yoga Instructors, Pediatricians, Parents etc.). As Wild Roots Nature and Forest School is a non-profit organization, we wanted to create a program that was inclusive and more financially feasible.
